About the Role
In this role you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems. You will adhere to MasTec’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. The position requires climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, and assisting with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole operations. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. • Apply OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI industry standards. • Climb towers and ladders to perform work at height. • Erect various tower types and install new carriers on existing structures. • Off‑load material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean job sites. • Assist tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. • Assemble monopole, weld and knock‑down self‑support, and guyed towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, including foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and waveguide. • Install foundations, grounding, conduits, and perform related electrical work. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, consistently delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys solving complex, hands‑on problems. You must have a high school diploma, at least four years of tower experience, the ability to read technical prints, and a PWSA certification is a plus. Physical requirements include climbing towers, lifting 50 lb, and working up to 12 hours, plus a valid driver’s license.
