About the Role

The Field Performance Technician is responsible for managing, scheduling, and completing all service and warranty work. This role works both independently and as part of the Performance O&M team, collaborating closely with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and the centralized Field Service scheduling team. Key duties include organizing and maintaining the warranty and service schedule, allocating labor resources with the Electrical Foreman and Branch Manager, and leading regular meetings to train the local field service team on best practices. The technician also supports onboarding of new team members, regularly exceeds KPI goals such as turnaround time and dispatches completed, and assists with inspections and site audits as needed. • Organize and maintain warranty and service schedules. • Allocate labor resources with the Electrical Foreman and Branch Manager. • Lead regular training meetings for the local field service team. • Mentor and onboard new field performance team members. • Achieve KPI targets for turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatches. • Perform inspections and site audits as assigned. • Apply NEC codes and interpret single‑line drawings for PV systems. • Follow safety policies, identify hazards, and promote safe work practices. • Solve problems quickly, exercise good judgment, and escalate issues when needed.

What You Bring

Applicants must have 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience; a high school diploma is required, and PV design or electrical experience is preferred. A clean driving record, a valid driver’s license (age 21+), and, where applicable, a state Electrical Journeyman certification are required. The role demands solid knowledge of the NEC and related codes, the ability to read single‑line drawings and understand PV system interconnections, and strong customer‑service, verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills. Candidates must be motivated team players who adhere to safety policies, can troubleshoot problems, and take ownership of issues. Physical requirements include transporting materials up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance), frequent roof work involving bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights, and the ability to operate in extreme weather, confined spaces, and noisy environments. Workers must also be able to use fine motor skills, distinguish colors, and hear verbal commands. • Require 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience. • High school diploma required; PV design or electrical experience preferred. • Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license (21+). • Electrical Journeyman certification preferred or required per state. • Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication. • Demonstrate strong organizational, time‑management, and computer skills. • Physically lift up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance) and work on rooftops and ladders. • Work in various outdoor conditions, confined spaces, and at heights safely.
