About the Role

• Lead direction, control, and quality of dam, levee, civil works, and flood risk management projects in Kentucky and Tennessee. • Plan, direct, and oversee large‑scale, multi‑discipline projects with high technical complexity. • Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to project development and contract document preparation. • Mentor mid‑level and junior staff across various disciplines. • Oversee planning, design, inspection, and construction management for interior drainage, riverine flood risk, dams, reservoirs, ecosystem restoration, and general site civil projects. • Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts with hydrology, hydraulics, structural, geology, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, CADD, and GIS teams. • Collaborate with HDR regional and corporate technical leads and advisors. • Actively engage in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR’s technical expertise and brand. • Work cooperatively with business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers. • Participate actively in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.

What You Bring

• Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related professional field. • Possess at least 10 years of relevant experience. • Maintain a current professional or engineering registration with related technical experience. • Experience in developing and managing diverse teams.
