About the Role
The Welder Helper assists Welder I and Welder II with various welding tasks, including preparing workpieces, setting up equipment, handling materials, operating power and hand tools, reading basic blueprints, and tack welding components. The helper also supports maintaining a safe, clean work environment and follows safety procedures at all times. • Assist welders with preparation, equipment setup, and tack welding. • Clean, grind, and scrape workpieces before welding. • Operate power and hand tools under supervision. • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. • Help train and mentor new helpers as needed. • Work in environments with extreme temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, and forklift traffic.

What You Bring
This is an entry‑level position requiring the candidate to be at least 18 years of age. The role requires the ability to follow instructions, strong communication skills, basic knowledge of hand and power tools, basic math proficiency, ability to operate and maintain production equipment, knowledge of safety procedures, and a willingness to learn new processes and technologies. The position is in manufacturing facilities with exposure to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic. It is a safety‑sensitive job subject to random drug and alcohol testing. • Read and interpret basic welding blueprints and instructions. • Must be at least 18 years old; entry‑level position. • Demonstrate basic math skills and strong communication. • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
