About the Role
The laborer/Fire Watch will support various manual tasks on a new construction site, such as moving and retrieving equipment, digging, and standing by for fire safety, as directed by a supervisor or journeyman. • Perform manual activities: move equipment, dig, retrieve items, and follow supervisor instructions. • Use fire extinguisher and act as fire watch. • Climb onto structures and scaffolding safely. • Uphold Zachry values and adhere to safety rules and regulations.

What You Bring
• Meet all physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights. • Have reliable transportation and be available to work any day as needed. • Pass pre‑employment health and drug screening. • Apply basic knowledge of hand and power tools. • Demonstrate problem‑solving ability, manual dexterity, and reading comprehension. • Communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors; work as a team player. • Preferred: current or former Zachry employee, basic mechanical knowledge, industrial construction experience, formal/technical education. • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, respirator, safety vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots.
