About the Role
The Superintendent 1 plans, manages, and executes all aspects of assigned projects, overseeing material and equipment, supporting people management, ensuring complete documentation, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable delivery. Decisions are made within defined authority limits, with consultation as needed, and the role offers a clear path to Superintendent 2. • Lead safety culture, promote injury‑free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff. • Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow. • Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO) for project portions. • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work. • Coordinate site care, custody, and control. • Conduct daily stand‑up and weekly trade meetings. • Participate in progress and OAC meetings. • Create, adjust, and implement the project schedule with the Project Manager. • Track and monitor project budget and costs using cost reports. • Communicate project information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Maintain project filing system, update drawings, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks. • Approve and record unit cost data for weekly and daily reports. • Evaluate self‑perform work progress and adjust as needed. • Manage material and equipment requirements for the project. • Support MOC and DLSC procurement and approval processes. • Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment for self‑perform operations. • Approve timecards, ensuring accurate hours and proper cost codes. • Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC standards, and external resources. • Supervise pre‑punch activities and coordinate project closeout with owners and architects. • Develop and monitor a project pre‑plan with field leadership throughout the project lifecycle. • Establish field staffing in partnership with field leadership. • Identify schedule and cost impacts of project changes with project management. • Negotiate project changes with owners and architects. • Prepare and present at project review meetings, including monthly reviews. • Participate in buy‑out meetings with subcontractors and vendors. • Apply contract terms and conditions for owners and subcontractors. • Recruit top talent for the project team. • Champion diversity, inclusion, and non‑discrimination policies.

What You Bring
Candidates need a high school diploma or GED (a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering is preferred), at least three years of construction experience and one year of field supervision. The work environment may require lifting up to 50 lb, travel, exposure to extreme temperatures, and non‑traditional hours.
