About the Role

You will work Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, primarily in the repair and maintenance shop at WM’s Vancouver hauling site, ensuring a predictable work‑life balance. Each day you’ll diagnose and repair trucks and equipment that serve millions of customers across North America, using modern tools to maintain diesel and, at some locations, CNG fleet vehicles. • Work in a repair/maintenance shop at the Vancouver hauling site • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on various vehicles and equipment • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and the community • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with corporate and OSHA standards
