About the Role
The Senior Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for prospecting and closing sales to new customers to achieve budgeted sales goals. This role develops and implements sound selling strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability by targeting new customers. It also manages existing business relationships, utilizing strong negotiation to retain business, secure contracts from previously non‑contracted customers, and handle all customer cancellation requests. The SAE educates customers on contract details, obtains commitments during face‑to‑face interactions, resolves service escalations within the territory, and maintains and grows billable value in assigned accounts. • Initiate business‑to‑business sales relationships and prospect new customers. • Prospect and close sales opportunities to meet budgeted goals using sound selling strategies. • Develop and maintain prospect development plans and keep key information in the prospect database. • Maintain a robust sales pipeline in both quantity and quality to achieve new sales targets. • Preserve revenue and accounts by maintaining SSDO relationship standards and handling cancellation requests. • Meet or exceed proactive account‑retention call activity goals. • Increase revenue and profitability through effective retention calls and service improvements. • Establish and maintain high customer satisfaction. • Propose solutions that comply with local, state, and federal regulations and collaborate with Area Sales Managers. • Communicate pricing, competition, and service strategies while identifying additional WM business opportunities. • Prepare complex proposals and recommend equipment optimization and leasing options. • Stay current on internal sales strategies, operational capabilities, and external market trends. • Work closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to upgrade materials and improve profitability.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or high school diploma/GED with at least four years of relevant experience. • Minimum four years of B2B direct sales, cold calling, and phone prospecting experience resulting in secured customer appointments.

The position operates primarily in a professional office setting, requiring standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. The expected base pay range is $67,000‑$72,000, with additional commission eligibility, and compensation may vary based on experience, education, and location. Eligible employees receive a competitive total compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short‑term disability coverage, as well as a stock purchase plan and company‑matched 401(k).
