About the Role
The structural team’s expansion calls for an innovative engineer who is eager to learn and advance with the company. Under senior staff guidance, the role involves applying engineering techniques, developing design plans, performing calculations, and preparing technical reports. • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques and principles, with senior staff guidance, to develop designs, reports, and other project elements. • Assist senior engineers in developing civil and marine design plans. • Perform engineering calculations, write technical reports, and present findings to project engineers and managers. • Research code provisions and specifications. • Interpret typical engineering drawings and details. • Assist senior engineers with project cost estimates. • Develop fluency in AutoCAD and structural design software such as STAAD, Enercalc, etc. • Establish and maintain positive relationships with co‑workers, managers, and clients. • Perform self QA/QC for design methodology, plans, calculations, and outcomes, and respond efficiently to supervisor’s QA/QC.

What You Bring
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking versatile and driven Structural Engineers to join a growing team. The position is hands‑on and offers the chance to work on a diverse, challenging civil and marine project portfolio. Engineers will engage in both fieldwork and office‑based assignments, covering the full spectrum of marine and waterfront engineering design. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (structural focus preferred) and possess an Engineer‑in‑Training certification; a PE license or passing exam record is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in English are essential. The position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $150,000, depending on qualifications. • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (structural focus preferred). • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; PE license preferred or record of passing PE exam. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job‑related communications and instructions.
