Job Highlights
About the Role
• Setting up, flagging, and inspecting a crane • Inspecting rigging properly • Running a site level • Checking in truck deliveries against bill of lading when load arrives • Counting bars and bundles of rebar, dobies, and wire mesh • Directing forklift/crane to unload delivery truck • Shaking out rebar and distributing/organizing accordingly • Using pliers to tie rebar intersections with tie wire • Cutting excess rebar ends and miscellaneous pieces with gas cut saw or cutting torch • Installing mechanical rebar splices by bolting or welding ends together • Installing caps on vertical rebar dowels for safety • Installing rebar dowels into fresh concrete footings • Determining number, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions • Bending steel rods with hand tools or rodbending machine • Reinforcing concrete with wire mesh • Installing prefabricated ornamental ironwork • Receiving and offloading all major components • Installing loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation • Connecting blades to hub • Setting base and tower sections • Managing taglines • Involved with main erection crane assembly and teardown • Accept direction from supervisors and follow work rules and procedures

What You Bring
• Splicing mats or rebar sections together with short rebar dowels • Understanding building codes/requirements • Climbing ladders – average 80 m • Strong teamwork orientation • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills • Ability to operate equipment (move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, maneuver steering wheel) • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts • Knowledge of equipment and their uses • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) • Ability to work independently and cooperate in a team environment • Punctual and consistent attendance • Accept constructive feedback • Perform repetitive hand, arm, leg movements • Lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lb; over 50 lb with assistance or equipment • High School Diploma or GED • Equipment certifications as required • 1 year of related experience preferred • Valid driver’s license of proper class with necessary endorsements
