About the Role

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Directs loading and unloading of aircraft baggage and cargo. • Observes safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks. • Provides safe and efficient operations of all ground service equipment. • Provides overall direction of aircraft de-icing / anti-icing. • Manages safety during boarding and deplaning and assist crews in a friendly and courteous manner. • Oversees marshalling of aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft) • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. • Employees are regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, and is frequently required to stand, walk. • The RSA Supervisor on occasion may lift or move with help up to 200 pounds, and/or more frequently lift or move 70 to 100 pounds, and constantly lift or move up to 50 pounds. • Write routine reports and correspondence. • Supervises servicing of aircraft as needed including: • Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times. • Monitors crew shuttle.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in Aviation Industry. • Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules. • Must be willing to work in inclement weather. • Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English. • Employees may be required to climb, sit, and balance. • Prior Ramp Service experience. • High School graduate or GED. • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Good communication skills. • Supervisory experience. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. • Be at least 18 years of age. • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably. • The RSA Supervisor is usually working outside and is exposed to all types of weather conditions with a seasonal range of temperatures which include rain, snow, wind and extreme temperatures. • Speak effectively one-to-one and before groups of customers or employees of the organization. • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints. • Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug test. • Possess a valid driver’s license. • Occasionally high noise levels where hearing protection is required and provided.
