About the Role

The Lineman Trainer will promote CHANCE® tools and related products through live demonstrations, presentations, and training at live line schools, collaborative meetings, trade shows, and other customer events, primarily based in the Midwestern or Northeastern United States with up to 70% travel. Day‑to‑day duties include providing live line tool demonstrations up to 500 kV, delivering classroom and field training, conducting seminars on grounding and tool maintenance, offering sales and application training to HPS customers and distributors, supporting line‑technician schools with a demo trailer, keeping the trailer stocked with tools and literature, attending trade shows, traveling domestically and internationally, presenting to groups of any size, reporting technical developments, and adhering to safety regulations while representing the CHANCE brand professionally. • Conduct live line tool demonstrations and training up to 500 kV in field and classroom settings. • Deliver seminars on equipotential grounding, tool maintenance, and testing procedures. • Provide sales and application training to HPS customers, distributors, and sales representatives. • Support line technician schools and training events using a demonstration trailer and tool samples. • Maintain and stock the demonstration trailer with tools and promotional literature. • Represent CHANCE at trade shows, industry meetings, and customer events. • Report technical and competitive developments as well as customer requirements. • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal safety regulations.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have at least 15 years of experience as a journeyman lineman, extensive knowledge of distribution and transmission voltages, substations, and underground systems, and practical experience with live line rubber gloving, hot‑sticking, bare‑handing, and temporary grounding. Additional qualifications include experience working from structures and bucket trucks, the ability to train other linemen, a valid CDL, willingness to travel up to 70%, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish as a plus. • Travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the year. • Possess a minimum of 15 years experience as a journeyman lineman with live line expertise. • Demonstrated proficiency in rubber gloving, hot‑sticking, bare‑handing, and temporary grounding. • Experienced working from utility poles, structures, and bucket trucks. • Ability to train other linemen and present to both small and large audiences. • Hold a valid CDL; bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous. • Capable of lifting up to 75 lb, climbing poles and towers, and handling hand tools with dexterity.
