About the Role
The helper provides assistance on pipe system projects, supporting tasks such as installation, valve placement, and quality testing under the direction of senior staff. • Identify required tools and safety precautions for each task. • Assist in pipe preparation, fabrication, installation, and fitting to specifications. • Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges according to plans. • Perform pipe system testing to ensure quality. • Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment. • Maintain required tools: metal toolbox with lock, torpedo magnetic level, 25‑in tape measure, pipe wrench, hacksaw, crescent wrenches, screwdrivers, ball‑peen hammer, gloves, C‑clamps, bucket, rain suit, and rubber boots.

ZACHRY is seeking an experienced Industrial Boilermaker Helper for maintenance work at Exxon Mobil in Beaumont, Texas. The position does not offer per diems. The helper will assist in the assembly, layout, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems. Candidates must be able to follow instructions, have reliable transportation, and meet all physical demands of the job. Prior experience on an industrial construction project and ownership of the required tools are required. Essential attributes include problem‑solving ability, manual dexterity, reading comprehension, teamwork, independence, and effective communication, all while committing to Zachry’s safety values. The role demands the use of a standard set of hand tools and personal protective equipment while performing physically intensive work, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Preferred candidates are former Zachry employees, ROF’ed staff, or those with prior industrial construction or pipe‑fitter helper experience, and may have formal technical education.
