About the Role

The Financial Analyst – Capital Markets role supports financing pursuits for Z Modular real‑estate developments. You will assist with financial analysis, prepare lender materials, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts from underwriting through closing and post‑closing activities. This full‑time, hybrid position is based in Chicago and is ideal for an early‑career finance professional who is detail‑oriented and interested in real‑estate development and project finance. Key duties include assembling information packages for construction financing, managing information flow between internal teams and external partners, researching market trends, performing basic modeling and variance analysis, and supporting loan closings and monthly draw requests. You will also conduct loan‑requirement testing, prepare compliance documentation, and contribute to additional financing and development tasks as needed while promoting safe work practices. • Assemble information packages and prepare construction financing submissions. • Coordinate information flow between internal teams and external partners such as lenders and consultants. • Research real‑estate market developments and rent trends. • Perform basic financial modeling and variance analysis on rent rolls and operating statements. • Assist with loan closings, assemble monthly draw packages, and respond to lender inquiries. • Conduct testing and analyses (e.g., debt yield, DSCR) per loan requirements. • Prepare documentation for post‑closing debt compliance and reporting. • Support additional financing and development activities as assigned. • Promote healthy and safe work practices in line with regulations and company policy.

What You Bring

We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and less than one year of experience in real‑estate, finance, banking, or a similar area. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, basic modeling ability, and the capacity to learn Yardi or comparable systems are required. Effective written and verbal communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field. • Have less than one year of experience in real‑estate, finance, banking, or a related area. • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn Yardi or similar systems. • Possess basic financial modeling skills. • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities. • Show detail‑oriented and organizational skills with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
