About the Role

The Project Order Engineering Specialist proactively manages and coordinates the technical aspects of project orders ranging from basic to high‑value, complex equipment, including standard, assembled‑to‑order, and engineered‑to‑order items. The incumbent serves as a customer advocate and provides leadership on complex project issues while communicating with project managers, plants, field sales, and the assigned customer base about order status, maintaining drawing schedules, specifications, and documentation, and addressing technical concerns to ensure on‑time and accurate delivery of commitments. When a project manager is not assigned, the specialist assumes the role of customer advocate and leads resolution of complex issues. They communicate with plants, field sales, and the customer base about technical status, maintain drawing and production schedules and specifications, and address technical concerns to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project commitments. The specialist maintains the technical integrity of assembled‑to‑order projects by working with the technical document control specialist to meet documentation requirements promptly and collaborating with the post‑sales specialist to resolve post‑shipment warranty and damage issues. They also manage effective communication with internal teams—including project managers, plants, and field sales—as well as external partners such as contractors, distributors, consulting engineers, and OEMs to ensure successful project execution. • Coordinate technical aspects of standard, assembled‑to‑order, and engineered‑to‑order project orders. • Act as customer advocate and lead resolution of complex project issues. • Maintain drawing, specification, and documentation schedules to ensure on‑time delivery. • Collaborate with document control and post‑sales teams to meet documentation and warranty requirements. • Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a university degree or college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, and possess at least five years of experience with complex, large‑scale electrical projects in engineering, project management, or sales/quotations. Required credentials include legal eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship, a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation, and preferably a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Bilingual proficiency in English and French, a strong technical background in industrial and construction products, and extensive knowledge of Power Engineered Products are also essential. • Hold an accredited degree/diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field. • Minimum five years experience on large, complex electrical projects. • Possess Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation; PMP certification preferred. • Legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship; bilingual in English and French. • Strong knowledge of industrial/construction products and Power Engineered Products.
