About the Role
As part of Parsons’ Critical Infrastructure team, you will collaborate with internal experts and external partners to plan, design, build, and modernize infrastructure that enhances community mobility, economic growth, and sustainability. The position offers the chance to lead design efforts, supervise junior staff, and contribute to projects that improve quality of life. • Perform and lead drainage and culvert design for state DOT roadway projects nationwide • Develop hydraulic and hydrologic models, drainage calculations, and irrigation designs • Prepare construction details, erosion and sediment control plans, cost estimates, and technical reports • Produce design calculations, CAD drawings, specifications, procurement documents, and installation packages • Define and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and report status to management • Provide technical guidance to CAD designers, junior engineers, and supervise staff as needed

What You Bring
The firm is seeking a Drainage Engineer I or II to work on a wide variety of transportation projects across the United States, including design‑build and design‑bid‑build highway assignments. This remote role requires candidates to be based in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee and involves performing drainage and hydraulic design for state DOT and other transportation clients. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) with EIT certification • Minimum 3 years experience in roadway/highway drainage design • Proficiency with CAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools (HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, etc.) • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred • Direct experience on state DOT transportation projects • Experience designing stormwater infrastructure and obtaining permits
