About the Role

The role involves leading a team to complete transportation projects, establishing and monitoring project scope and fees, using project management tools to track tasks and timelines, overseeing design assignments, communicating high‑level concepts with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating multidisciplinary efforts, addressing client needs, performing constructability and peer reviews, potentially serving as Engineer of Record, building client relationships, participating in meetings, negotiating contracts, collaborating with finance and legal teams on invoicing and collections, reporting financial performance, utilizing CRM for business opportunities, managing proposals, supporting marketing initiatives, and mentoring team members. The Senior Project Manager will also identify skill gaps, provide internal and external training, participate in personnel forecasting, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ensure timely completion of timesheets and expense reports for themselves and their team. • Lead and manage complex transportation engineering projects from planning to delivery. • Establish and monitor project scope, fees, and contract modifications. • Use project management tools to track tasks, schedules, and milestones. • Oversee design work, including calculations, plans, and submittals. • Communicate concepts with team members, clients, subconsultants, and government agencies. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to streamline design and minimize revisions. • Address client needs, resolve conflicts, and provide constructability and peer reviews. • Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned. • Build and maintain client relationships, identify business opportunities, and ensure client accountability. • Participate in project meetings and negotiate contracts with clients and subconsultants. • Collaborate with finance and legal teams on contract execution, invoicing, and collections. • Generate financial reports, monitor project profitability, and manage accounts receivable. • Utilize CRM to track business opportunities and support proposal management. • Contribute to marketing efforts, including resume updates, project write‑ups, and proposal support. • Mentor and coach team members, identify training needs, and deliver internal trainings. • Involve in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and personnel forecasting. • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and expense reports for self and team.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and at least 15 years of relevant experience with prior project management on similar transportation projects.
