About the Role
Schneider Electric’s Field Service Representatives play a critical role by collaborating with customers, team members, and third‑party partners to install, start up, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on both Schneider and third‑party equipment in dynamic environments. A typical day includes pre‑site preparation, equipment start‑up, repairs, preventive maintenance, field modifications, problem solving with customers and technical teams, and completing service, expense, and data sheet reports. Representatives may also travel regionally or nationwide, assist senior technicians, support project managers on larger system start‑ups, collaborate with other FSRs on complex projects, and act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform equipment start‑up, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications on site. • Diagnose issues and solve problems collaboratively with customers, electricians, and technical support. • Complete and submit field service reports, expense reports, and data sheets accurately. • Travel regionally or nationally, including overnight trips, to provide customer support. • Assist senior technicians and project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Act as liaison for the District Service Manager to resolve operational challenges. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals. • Operate test and diagnostic equipment proficiently and maintain safe driving practices. • Execute physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 40 lb and working in extreme weather or confined spaces.

What You Bring
The company equips all Field Service Representatives with comprehensive product training, digital and physical tools, service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops to support their daily work. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree, trade certification, military training, or equivalent electrical experience, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a solid understanding of AC and DC power principles. Required experience includes at least two years in field service repair of UPS systems or related power distribution equipment, strong safety practices (including lock‑out/tag‑out), NFPA‑70E or OSHA knowledge, safe driving skills, and the ability to use test and diagnostic equipment. The role demands physical stamina for tasks such as lifting up to 40 lb, working in extreme weather conditions, standing for long periods, and navigating confined spaces. • Hold an Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or equivalent electrical experience. • Demonstrate 2+ years of field service repair experience with UPS, power distribution, or related equipment. • Adhere to safety protocols such as lock‑out/tag‑out and possess NFPA‑70E or OSHA knowledge.
