About the Role
• Teach Electrical Worker courses at various times. • Submit required reports and forms promptly to the Administrative Office. • Assist in developing and implementing course syllabi. • Advise and meet with students before/after class, by appointment or electronically. • Evaluate student progress and communicate results timely. • Maintain professional relationships with students and colleagues. • Continuously improve instructional quality using innovative methods. • Attend required meetings, trainings, and orientations. • Receive and convey detailed oral instructions accurately and quickly.

What You Bring
Instructors must attend scheduled class times and be available to students outside of instruction. Work is performed in a skilled‑trades laboratory using a PC workstation in a Windows LAN environment, and may involve exposure to high‑noise and weather‑related conditions. • Knowledge of all aspects of the Electrical Worker trade and NCCER electrical content. • Project leadership skills emphasizing collaboration and facilitation. • Ability to engage students with effective strategies. • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer skills. • Knowledge of power and hand tools related to the trade. • Maintain close visual acuity for data analysis, computer use, and extensive reading. • Demonstrate safe use of power and hand tools specific to the trade. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 4 years journeyman‑level electrician experience, including 1 year supervisory role, OR 3 years as a certified vocational/technical teacher. • Electrical Worker Journeyman credential or equivalent. • NCCER Instructor certification (or willingness to complete ICTP and obtain certification). • Willingness to complete Green Apple Labs certification.
