About the Role
Key duties include delivering technical expertise for engineering analyses and programs, resolving equipment and system issues, leading short‑term and long‑term initiatives that affect site operations, and ensuring work accuracy, configuration management, and compliance with design standards and codes. The role also involves independent research, recommendations for equipment and process improvements, and participation in emergency response and outage activities as required. • Provide in‑depth technical expertise for engineering analyses and program development. • Identify and resolve equipment and system problems as a subject‑matter expert. • Lead short‑term and long‑term programs that impact nuclear site operations. • Apply general engineering principles to assigned technical tasks. • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work with proper configuration management. • Conduct independent research, studies, and analyses to support technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance and reduce costs. • Participate in emergency response, department duty coverage, and outage support.

What You Bring
The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving in support of nuclear plant operations, serving as a subject‑matter expert and making technical decisions while applying deep knowledge of industry codes and regulations. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related science (or a professional engineer license) combined with at least five years of engineering experience, including one year in a nuclear power plant, and the ability to meet required access and medical standards. Preferred qualifications include supervisory or managerial experience, design engineering background, professional engineer registration, and an advanced technical degree or related coursework.
