About the Role
The Inside Sales Manager will lead the inside sales team for the Great Lakes Area (GLA) from a hybrid office in Plymouth, MI, combining remote work with periodic in‑office presence. Candidates should reside locally and have prior management or supervisory experience. In this role, the manager oversees the GLA Inside Sales Team, applying inside‑sales tactics to drive revenue for WM services and developing sales and marketing programs that meet current and future customer needs while guiding team members. The position involves a mix of home‑based and office work in a professional environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. • Maintain and reinforce corporate sales strategy with the Inside Sales Team. • Ensure high customer satisfaction on all sales transactions and collaborate with the Market Area Sales Manager on unique issues. • Supervise Inside Sales activities, meeting or exceeding call activity goals for new sales, lead generation, and productivity. • Forecast staffing needs and recruit qualified candidates for Inside Sales positions. • Develop and deliver formal training and informal coaching for Inside Sales Representatives, updating reference materials as needed. • Participate in training and coaching of Inside Sales staff. • Assist in communicating and maintaining the Area’s pricing and service strategies. • Maintain accurate customer records, including prospect data, contracts, orders, and service documentation. • Work with the Area Sales Manager to develop upsell and cross‑sell strategies via outbound calls. • Communicate goals to Inside Sales Representatives and arrange proper training to meet expectations. • Direct supervision of 12 full‑time employees, including Account Executives and a Program Manager.
