Senior Manager, IT Project Management

About the Role

The role works closely with business leaders, IT teams, external vendors, the PLM architect and the engineering delivery team to ensure governance and standards are met while supporting the Engineering IT Strategic Roadmap and driving adoption of new IT systems. • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale engineering‑focused IT projects, starting with PLM, on time and within budget. • Develop and implement program and project management frameworks aligned with Hubbell’s IT Program Management Process. • Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives and deliverables. • Work with the PLM Architect and Engineering Delivery team to enforce governance and standards. • Monitor project performance, identify improvement areas, and apply corrective actions. • Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues, creating contingency plans as needed. • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to senior management. • Manage external vendors and contracts for engineering applications, implementations, support and services. • Oversee licensing and cost allocation for engineering‑focused applications. • Design and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new IT systems. • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to project managers and their teams, fostering high performance.

What You Bring

Hubbell seeks a highly skilled technical project manager to lead large‑scale PLM implementations. The multi‑year strategic investment will be integrated into Hubbell’s technology landscape and has high visibility across the organization, requiring strong communication and executive presence. Success will depend on expertise in managing complex enterprise programs, change management, and deep knowledge of engineering tools and processes. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; Master’s preferred. • Minimum 15 years of enterprise‑wide IT program management experience, with focus on PLM and engineering tools. • Demonstrated knowledge of product definition, change and requirements management, and Agile/SAFe methodologies. • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
