About the Role
Key responsibilities include assembling parts to specified tolerances, performing system setup and integration before testing, and operating cranes or lift trucks as required. The assembler will assist engineering with testing and troubleshooting of both electrical and mechanical systems, offer best‑practice suggestions, and work with manufacturing engineering to diagnose and resolve problems. Collaboration with Quality Assurance ensures the final product meets Rolls‑Royce standards, and service work as needed is also performed. Interaction with customers during testing is part of the role. • Assemble parts to precise tolerances per drawings. • Set up and integrate systems before testing. • Operate cranes and lift trucks when needed. • Assist engineering with electrical and mechanical testing and troubleshooting. • Contribute best‑practice recommendations for assembly and testing. • Diagnose issues with manufacturing engineering and help devise solutions. • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet Rolls‑Royce standards. • Interface with customers during testing. • Mentor and teach junior colleagues. • Maintain focus and composure under stressful conditions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a trade‑school background, an Electrical Technician qualification, a licensed Millwright credential, or equivalent experience, and be proficient in reading electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics. Preferred attributes include the ability to work well in a team, operate with minimal supervision, strong communication skills, and a willingness to teach or mentor colleagues. Applicants should remain focused and composed under stressful situations such as breakdowns during testing or tight timelines. • Hold a trade school, Electrical Technician or licensed Millwright qualification and experience reading schematics. • Work effectively in a team, with minimal supervision, and communicate clearly.
