About the Role
The Senior Structural Engineer will lead and support medium‑to‑large projects from concept to handover, delivering on quality, time and budget. The role is suited to a self‑motivated structural engineering graduate who is enthusiastic, eager to advance their career and ideally chartered or working towards chartered status. • Prepare specifications, schedules, drawings, and contract documents through RIBA/project stages. • Manage structural design delivery from concept through completion, organizing a team. • Attend project and client meetings on behalf of AECOM. • Prepare planning, design, and feasibility reports. • Ensure project work complies with the Project Management Plan and Programme. • Lead by example in work winning, value engineering, and modern computational methods. • Provide high‑level value‑engineering technical expertise for building design projects. • Identify, assess, and address quality, environmental, and sustainability aspects. • Develop detailed design drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports. • Take conceptual designs through to completion and liaise directly with clients. • Deliver sustainable designs.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate passion for helping clients solve engineering challenges. • Exhibit strong communication skills. • Know governing structural design standards (Eurocodes, BS, Building Regulations). • Obtain or be eligible for active UK SC Clearance and preferably hold UK nationality. • Hold a relevant structural engineering degree with experience sufficient for chartered progression. • Be chartered or have qualifications to become chartered. • Possess Justice sector or equivalent experience (beneficial).
