About the Role
The IT Support Specialist (Systems & Infrastructure) is a senior technical role responsible for Tier 3 systems administration, cloud services, infrastructure support, and escalated troubleshooting. The position ensures reliability, security, and performance of critical IT environments. • Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and identity services. • Manage Windows Server environments, virtualization, storage, and backups. • Oversee patch management, system updates, and preventive maintenance. • Monitor and support backup and disaster recovery systems, including test restores. • Support network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi‑Fi) in coordination with MSP. • Assist with endpoint management using Intune policies, device compliance, and security configurations. • Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and compliance readiness (including CMMC). • Serve as primary escalation point for Tier 2 helpdesk issues. • Assist with complex end‑user issues beyond standard troubleshooting. • Coordinate with MSP on Tier 4 issues, cybersecurity events, and major infrastructure changes. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Tier 2 support staff. • Assist with IT projects and rollouts as assigned. • Participate in and lead infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades. • Maintain accurate IT documentation, SOPs, system diagrams, and configurations. • Manage vendor relationships, licensing reviews, and cost optimization. • Contribute to long‑term IT strategy and roadmap planning.
