Lead growth and operational management of HDR's Power services in Missouri/Kansas.

About the Role
• Grow and monitor HDR’s Power services portfolio in Missouri/Kansas, partnering with business development to anticipate market trends and diversify client work. • Pursue consulting, advisory, owners‑engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning projects for utilities, cooperatives, developers, and industrial/technology firms. • Assist clients in designing, assessing, and implementing energy system and portfolio plans ranging from microgrids to large‑scale utility systems. • Build and maintain external teaming relationships, representing HDR in industry associations and community organizations. • Provide leadership and project management to staff projects, ensuring quality execution and serving as Principal‑in‑Charge on select engagements. • Align resources and technical expertise with workload and marketing efforts by coordinating with Business Group Manager, Power Practice Leaders, and Business Development Leaders. • Drive client growth locally and regionally while recruiting and hiring staff to support business development and marketing initiatives. • Support work‑sharing efforts with local operations, section managers, and business group leadership. • Lead, motivate, and develop staff to achieve growth targets.

What You Bring
• Hold a PE license (preferred). • Hold PMP certification (preferred). • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or a related field. • Have at least 10 years of industry experience. • Demonstrated experience creating and managing strategic marketing programs for planning or engineering services. • Proven ability to develop and manage diverse client relationships and pursue program or project opportunities. • Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career path planning, and professional growth. • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and national directors, managers, and business group leaders.
