About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the assigned buildings with electrical and mechanical systems, covering low/medium voltage power, HVAC, controls, and general building subsystems. Responsibilities also include preventive maintenance, emergency response, carpentry, plumbing, and vendor coordination. Typical daily tasks involve interior upkeep such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing furniture, as well as special projects like painting and locksmith work. The role requires maintaining lighting, cleaning HVAC coils, changing filters and belts, performing minor plumbing repairs, moving equipment, and documenting work in a mobile‑based CMMS. • Provide electrical and mechanical support for power, lighting, and HVAC systems • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to after‑hours emergencies • Execute carpentry, plumbing, and general building repairs • Manage vendor relationships and conduct facility inspections • Document work orders and track assignments using a mobile CMMS • Lift a minimum of 80 lb, use ladders up to 30 ft, and handle a 20‑lb tool bag

What You Bring
The position demands frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting at least 80 lb, often using ladders up to 30 ft and handling a 20‑lb tool bag. Employees must hold a valid state driver’s license and may be on‑call for after‑hours emergencies. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have at least two years of experience in building repair, basic HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work. Experience with a CMMS and Microsoft Office is required, and completion of relevant technical training is preferred. • Maintain a valid state driver’s license and be on‑call as needed • U.S. citizenship required; no visa sponsorship provided • High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience • Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office suite • Preferred: completion of an applicable technical training program
