About the Role
The HazMat Field Driver/Technician transports various waste streams to designated generator sites, operating straight trucks and tractor‑trailers for bulk and containerized hazardous and non‑hazardous waste while complying with government regulations. • Operates various trucks including roll‑offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor‑trailers, and box trucks • Maintains driver documentation such as logbooks, permit books, trip reports, and waste manifests • Ensures accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT segregation, and labeling • Maintains company equipment • Utilizes company technology, including mobile apps and software maintenance, as assigned • Conducts DOT/MOT pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections • Communicates effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction • Processes hazardous and non‑hazardous materials as required • Keeps facility and grounds clean and well‑organized • Serves as a technician on lab pack and field service projects when needed • Participates in the site safety program and required training

What You Bring
• Performs less‑than‑load (LTL) pickups • Understands state weight limit laws • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems • Knowledge of pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and related maintenance functions • Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail • Able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple diverse responsibilities • Holds a Class A Commercial Driver’s license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements (or obtains endorsements within 90 days)
