About the Role

The Loading Dock Attendant – General Maintenance reports to the Loading Dock Operations Manager and is responsible for the overall upkeep of the facility, with a particular focus on the loading dock area. They monitor dock activity to ensure a clear path of travel and facilitate the loading, unloading, scanning, and storing of scheduled deliveries and pickups for both Fenway Park and the MGM Music Hall. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong attention to detail and may assist with general upkeep tasks during non‑delivery windows. Core duties include overseeing shipping and receiving area activity, assisting with freight loading and unloading, and maintaining a clear path of travel for dock and service doors. The attendant keeps the package storage area organized, coordinates timely pickups with internal recipients, inspects the dock for damage, and manages compactor area organization and vendor swap‑outs. Snow removal for dock access and emergency egress pathways is also required, along with maintaining assets and equipment in good working condition. Additional responsibilities may involve patching and painting walls and surfaces, repairing or adjusting inoperable doors and hardware, replacing damaged ceiling tiles, performing Cove Base and carpet repairs, changing HVAC filters, and assisting tradesmen with emergency repairs. Safety is paramount; the attendant works safely at all times, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, follows Ballpark safety and security procedures, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions. • Oversee shipping and receiving activities at the loading dock. • Load and unload freight, ensuring a clear path of travel for service doors. • Maintain organized package storage and coordinate timely pickups with internal recipients. • Inspect dock conditions, report damages, and manage compactor area swap‑outs with vendors. • Perform snow removal to keep dock access and emergency egress pathways clear. • Conduct routine maintenance such as painting, door repairs, ceiling tile replacement, carpet and Cove Base repairs, and HVAC filter changes. • Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report unsafe conditions immediately.

What You Bring

The role requires a high school diploma, the ability to operate material handling equipment such as a pallet jack, and comfort working around all truck and vehicle types, especially semi‑trailers. Strong communication and organization skills are essential, along with prior experience in painting, general maintenance, or carpentry. Candidates must be willing to work off‑hours, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and be able to lift 50 lb unaided. • Possess a high school diploma and be able to operate a pallet jack and lift 50 lb unaided. • Demonstrate strong communication, organization skills, and prior experience in painting or general maintenance. • Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
