About the Role
The technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and general building upkeep of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life‑safety, fire protection, and security systems. Duties include routine lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, consumable replacement, testing, responding to work orders, maintaining logs, coordinating contractors, and adhering to safety and operating procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. • Conduct routine lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, and replace consumable parts. • Respond to safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and environmental work orders. • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work‑order records using software. • Coordinate approvals and manage external contractors for work orders. • Ensure building occupant safety and continuous operation of all systems. • Provide exceptional customer service and anticipate future repairs.

What You Bring
FMM, a nationwide maintenance and construction firm serving residential and commercial clients, is seeking a motivated Commercial Maintenance Technician. The technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building operating systems across multiple locations and be available for after‑hour emergency calls. Candidates must have at least five years of experience with basic electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, plumbing, HVAC, door repair, leak repair, and painting tasks, as well as exceptional customer service and time‑management abilities. A high‑school diploma, proficiency with computers and email, and the ability to lift up to 15 lb are required. • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with building systems maintenance. • Proficient in basic electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, plumbing, HVAC, door, and leak repairs. • High school diploma or equivalent; proficient with computer, text, and email. • Ability to lift up to 15 lb and pass a Fit‑for‑Duty screening.
