About the Role

The inspector ensures quality control throughout the fabrication process, performing inspections, interpreting engineering drawings, and communicating findings with assembly, front office, and other teams. They verify that all procedures meet established quality standards and that suspect products are identified to prevent misuse. • Document inspections, noting findings, deviations, and corrective actions such as rework. • Use inspection tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.) to measure parts. • Verify current BOM is used for kitting; ensure revisions are applied; confirm parts are fabricated per Enovia drawings; check correct quantities and part numbers against BOM and DMM database. • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate inspections and design compliance. • Thoroughly document and communicate non‑conformances, verify required rework, and coordinate design error corrections via turnback system. • Identify and label suspect product to prevent unintended use.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, legal authorization to work in the United States, and experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers. Preferred qualifications are fabrication experience with bus and steel processes, basic blueprint reading skills, and an associate degree. The role requires independent decision‑making, attention to detail, and the ability to work under high pressure while meeting internal and external customer expectations. Physical demands involve standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lb, and frequent exposure to noise and dust. • Fabrication experience with bus and steel processes. • Working knowledge of basic blueprint reading. • Associate degree (preferred). • Knowledge of kitting processes. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Familiarity with Eaton systems: Enovia, DMM, POM, AS400, MQ1. • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents (MIs, Blow‑Thrus, engineering drawings, quality verification procedures). • Ability to identify issues and communicate them to appropriate teams. • Strong attention to detail and accountability for defect identification and product quality. • Capability to perform under high pressure and high expectations.
