About the Role
• Represent GFT in the justice and corrections market, showcasing expertise and capabilities. • Develop and execute unified growth strategies and business development plans across regions. • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including expansion into emerging geographic areas. • Set department goals, key performance indicators, and metrics tied to revenue, profitability, quality, and market growth. • Lead staffing strategy, recruitment, and talent development for the Justice Architecture department. • Build and maintain relationships with key agencies, decision‑makers, and teaming partners. • Research client‑specific programs, operational models, and standards to inform proposals. • Publish articles on justice design trends, policy impacts, and operational innovations. • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary client contact, fostering long‑term relationships. • Lead proposal development, including writing, design concepts, and quality reviews. • Participate in and lead client interviews and presentations to demonstrate expertise. • Act as a subject‑matter expert for adult and juvenile corrections, courts, and public safety facilities. • Contribute to firm‑wide thought leadership through white papers, speaking engagements, and conferences. • Manage select projects by defining scopes, schedules, budgets, and ensuring on‑time delivery. • Mentor multidisciplinary teams and emerging architectural staff throughout project lifecycles. • Coordinate technical documentation with engineering teams, consultants, and subconsultants. • Ensure compliance with code requirements, specifications, and quality control standards.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate demonstrates a collaborative, organized leadership style, holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, and is proficient in Revit Architecture, BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. They possess deep knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and justice design standards such as ACA and NIC, and have extensive experience in justice and correctional design. • Possess 15+ years of project management and justice/correctional design experience. • Hold a licensed/registered architect status within the United States. • Demonstrate strong communication, writing, and presentation skills. • Maintain proficiency in Revit, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Compensation includes a salary range of $220,000‑$250,000, dependent on experience and location, and a hybrid work environment.
