About the Role

The Outside Sales Associate drives business development by engaging new and existing customers, estimating projects, interpreting bid documents, and preparing proposals for building automation and mechanical solutions. The role requires building relationships within the territory, collaborating with sales leadership, and gaining technical and sales expertise through hands‑on training and field experience. • Interface with new and existing clients • Define project requirements, estimate projects, build relationships, gather leads, set appointments and recommend optimal Bosch Building solutions • Interpret bid drawings and requirements, estimate project costs and write proposals • Work independently and cooperatively within the designated area to close sales, secure business, and meet sales targets • Develop skills to understand sales strategy focused on decision‑makers and business owners to expand relationships and gain new business • Collaborate daily with manager and team counterparts • Participate in ongoing training, development, and mentoring • Sit, stand, walk in office environments and construction sites • Driving to customer sites required

What You Bring

Employees must be able to communicate effectively in English, possess manual dexterity for light office tasks, and be able to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and work at heights up to 6 ft. Work environments range from clean office settings with low‑moderate noise to on‑site locations with customers or contractors, and driving to sites is required. • Understanding of HVAC / controls / mechanical systems • Positive self‑starter attitude • Good communication and people skills • Ability to overcome obstacles and find solutions • Understanding of mechanical and/or BMS systems preferred; engineering degree not essential; military experience a plus • 1–2 years of experience or internships in retail, marketing, business development, engineering, technical sales, or comparable fields • Must communicate effectively in English (see, hear, speak, write) • Manual dexterity for occasional reaching, lifting light office objects, and operating equipment • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lb and work at heights over 1.8 m (6 ft) • Clean, orderly, properly lit and ventilated office; low to moderate noise • Required on‑site with customers or contractors, with or without BBT colleagues
