About the Role
The Assistant Superintendent provides leadership to field crews, ensures work is performed safely and to quality standards, and proactively resolves issues that could impact the project. Daily responsibilities include maintaining paperwork such as as‑built drawings, timecards, and test reports, and communicating with staff, management, suppliers, and subcontractors. The role also involves enforcing safety policies and supervising employees as a liaison between the company and its workforce. • Lead and supervise field construction personnel to ensure productive, safe, and quality work. • Identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions. • Maintain accurate daily documentation, including as‑built drawings, timecards, and test reports. • Coordinate communication among field staff, management, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Enforce company safety policies and procedures on‑site. • Supervise employees and act as liaison between the company and workforce.

What You Bring
Candidates should have a minimum of two to three years’ experience as a Base, Paving, or Underground Utilities Superintendent, with three years preferred. The position requires the ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. The supervisor for this role is the Superintendent or General Superintendent. • Possess 2–3 years of experience as a Base, Paving or Underground Utilities Superintendent (3 years preferred). • Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, and working in varied weather conditions.
