About the Role
The Class A Lineman is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The role requires working at various sites and may involve travel to other states to meet customer demands. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair on energized and de‑energized overhead distribution systems safely. • Lead crew members in the foreman's absence. • String overhead wire and set poles and anchors. • Install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses, and clear faulted circuits. • Work with high‑voltage energized systems while protecting personnel. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools. • Phase out lines using phasing sticks and plan safe work from job prints or work orders. • Conduct pre‑job or tailgate briefings and execute reconductoring jobs safely. • Install and remove mechanical jumpers and use load‑bust tools.

What You Bring
The position demands regular physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting over 50 lb, and using hands and arms to handle tools and equipment. Employees must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and frequently perform rigorous physical labor. • Identify primary and secondary voltage, understand induced voltage and grounding procedures. • Work at heights and confined spaces; climb wood, steel, etc., and use proper PPE. • Minimum five years recent field experience as a lineman. • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). • Flexibility to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various sites. • Capability to lift over 50 lb and inspect rubber goods and PPE. • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and variable schedules. • Self‑motivated and team‑oriented. • Adherence to company safety rules and policies.
