About the Role

The role requires cultivating client partnerships, defining strategic direction, and encouraging transparent communication across the team while advancing the Ports and Industrial Development practice. Leadership is grounded in ethical conduct and sound business practices. Candidates will oversee projects from concept through construction documents, permitting, and administration, ensuring profitability, mentoring staff, and transitioning work to qualified personnel with considerable autonomy and the prospect of a generous bonus structure and potential ownership. The successful manager will have the freedom to direct and expand the business while acting as a positive mentor. • Provide vision, business planning, and strategy • Establish goals and maintain positive client relationships • Grow and lead the Ports and Industrial Development practice • Manage projects profitably while mentoring staff and transitioning work to qualified personnel • Prepare civil site design documents and reports covering layout, grading, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and infrastructure • Deliver land development projects profitably

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least ten years of diverse civil engineering experience, especially in complex port or industrial development. Candidates must demonstrate strong AutoCAD Civil3D skills, TWIC eligibility, and proven business development capabilities, including proposal writing and budgeting. • Communicate openly with partners and team members • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license • Bring 10+ years of diversified civil engineering experience, including complex port and industrial development projects • Possess or be eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) • Demonstrate strong AutoCAD Civil3D technical skills and business development experience (proposal writing, budgeting) • Effectively communicate at all organizational levels and manage/mentor staff positively
