Engineering Specifications Consultant - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
Creates and maintains spec relationships to embed Viega products in MEP project specifications.

About the Role
The consultant ensures Viega products are included in all applicable sections of project and master specifications, collaborating with engineers, architects, EPCs, contractors, builders, and government agencies. They also provide technical support to internal stakeholders and partner with field sales teams to achieve regional business objectives. • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with MEP engineers, architects, contractors, EPCs and manufacturers to secure inclusion of Viega products in master specifications. • Execute account strategies aligned with corporate objectives and develop strategic plans for key accounts to exceed revenue and profitability goals. • Deliver professional presentations to engineers, architects, developers, facility engineers, plant managers, code officials and design/build contractors to drive market growth. • Collaborate with external customers, partners, internal sales and product engineering teams to establish strong technical relationships and align solutions with customer needs. • Partner with cross‑functional teams to revise existing specifications and develop new ones, recommending changes to integrate Viega products. • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders (leadership, sales managers, national accounts, technical marketing) for engineering and product guide specifications. • Initiate new customer engagements, maintain regular visits, and identify new opportunities to drive product demand. • Travel to various locations to provide in‑person support as needed. • Respond to leads, prospect, prioritize opportunities and supply detailed product information to contacts. • Liaise with local code officials to obtain product approvals and work with inspectors to resolve installation questions. • Maintain and regularly update Salesforce and the engineering guide specification database for accurate records. • Report field activity, specification inclusion, competitor insights, forecasts and industry trends to management. • Participate in local societies (ASPE, ASHRAE, etc.) to promote Viega products and technologies. • Attend assigned meetings and perform other duties as required.

What You Bring
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and common office equipment. • Experienced using CRM tools in sales environments. • Detailed knowledge of codes, standards and industry specifications. • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational, strategic‑selling and relationship‑building abilities. • Ability to interpret and forecast changes in customer product requirements. • Skilled at market analysis, competitive practice implementation and delivering persuasive presentations. • Accurate with calculations, unit conversions, percentages, area and volume. • Effective teamwork, independent work and cross‑functional collaboration. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent licensure such as CPD, GPD). • 3‑5 years of industry experience required; 10+ years may substitute for degree. • Valid driver’s license. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary of $97,335‑$132,862 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance. Benefits feature medical, dental, vision, a wellness program, HSA contributions, voluntary life and disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 7.5% company match, and generous time‑off including 22 PTO days, 9 holidays and 2 volunteer days.
