About the Role
The technician will manage rock tools inventory, handle issuance, discards and losses, repair and maintain tools to defined specifications, and deliver products to customers. They will use the Rock Tools Management System to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, provide technical recommendations, and produce accurate time, technical and failure reports while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Safety responsibilities include complying with all safety policies and regulations, performing risk assessments before tasks, identifying and reporting unsafe habits, incidents, or near‑misses, maintaining tools and a clean work area, attending required training, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. • Manage rock tools inventory and track issues, discards, and losses. • Repair and maintain rock tools to defined specifications. • Deliver rock tools products to customers. • Utilize the Rock Tools Management System for performance monitoring and reporting. • Troubleshoot tool usage and provide technical recommendations. • Record accurate time, technical, and failure reports. • Perform daily and weekly stock counts. • Conduct risk assessments (“Take Five”) before each task. • Identify and report unsafe work habits, incidents, and near‑misses. • Maintain hand tools, equipment, and housekeeping standards. • Complete required safety trainings and wear appropriate PPE.
