About the Role
The role involves supporting project teams in the use of BIM authoring tools and assisting with model creation and clash resolution. You will work alongside BIM Coordinators during coordination meetings, conduct early design reviews and constructability analyses, and implement internal BIM standards for modelling tools and object libraries. Additionally, you will produce project content using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, automate repetitive tasks with Dynamo or plugins, and develop and maintain BIM project documentation such as MIDP and TIDP. Monitoring project compliance with agreed workflows, federating models, and generating clash detection reports are key responsibilities. You will also perform BIM checks on models and deliverables, and identify training needs to help team members upskill. What You Bring
Candidates should have more than ten years of experience in civil, structural, or MEP engineering design and hold professional registration such as IEng, with membership in bodies like the IET, CIBSE or IMECH. Extensive experience with Navisworks, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360, and familiarity with industry modelling standards (ISO19650, BS1192, PAS1192‑2) is essential. Proficiency in Revit Structures and Civil 3D, a keen interest in immersive 3‑D design, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure are also required. Excellent communication skills, initiative, and the capability to produce detailed 2‑D documentation are expected. Experience on hydropower projects is advantageous but not mandatory, and a willingness to learn new technologies and embrace digital innovation is valued. • 10+ years civil/structural/MEP design experience; IEng and professional membership • Proficient with Navisworks, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360 and ISO19650/BS1192 standards • Strong 3D modelling skills in Revit Structures and Civil 3D; ability to detail in 2D • Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and eager to learn new technologies • Excellent communication, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
