About the Role
• Provide safety oversight and leadership for the Zero Injury program across multiple project sites. • Develop site‑specific electrical safety programs in collaboration with project teams. • Identify training needs and deliver safety orientation, electrical training, and train‑the‑trainer sessions. • Review safety submittals and participate in pre‑construction meetings with subcontractors. • Mentor Safety Engineers and Coordinators, offering professional direction. • Oversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of safety, injury, and hazard statistics, including OSHA reports. • Conduct work area safety audits and assist with major incident analyses. • Monitor subcontractor activities for safety compliance.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I who can engage with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, maintaining flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism. The manager will lead and support the company's Zero Injury Safety program across multiple construction sites and may supervise additional safety professionals. The posting typically remains open for a minimum of five days. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent, or a high school diploma with CHST and OSHA 500 certifications plus 10+ years experience. • Minimum six years of dedicated construction safety experience managing project safety programs and conducting hazard analyses. • Preferred Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification and a current driver’s license. • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $100,100 to $150,200, with higher ranges for select locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
