About the Role

Key duties include supervising other QA Representatives, preparing and reviewing daily reports, managing submittal reviews, conducting inspections and testing, and ensuring compliance with quality control plans. The Lead QA will develop site‑specific QA plans, track submittal progress, monitor corrective‑action processes, and participate in pre‑construction, progress, and coordination meetings. They will also verify that preliminary activities such as shop‑drawing approvals, material availability, safety analyses, and calibrated equipment are completed before work begins. • Lead and supervise QA Representatives on construction sites. • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of daily QA reports. • Implement site‑specific Quality Assurance Plans and oversee submittal reviews. • Conduct inspections, testing, and compliance audits of work, materials, and equipment. • Track and manage corrective actions for identified deficiencies. • Participate in pre‑construction, progress, and coordination meetings with stakeholders.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Representative for a major government infrastructure program supporting U.S. border security. The position is based in the Laredo, TX area and operates from a project office or trailer on remote construction sites. The Lead QA will oversee daily QA activities, implement the QA process, and serve as the primary liaison between the government, Parsons, and contractors. Candidates must have at least eight years of construction‑related safety and quality assurance experience on large multi‑million‑dollar federal projects, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (or equivalent experience), and proficiency with web‑based project management tools such as Procore or Kahua. U.S. citizenship, a valid driver’s license, physical ability to work on rough terrain, and the ability to pass federal background checks are required. Desired qualifications include experience reviewing CPM schedules, remote‑site project work, recent Construction Quality Management or OSHA 30‑hour training, and no security clearance requirement. • Possess 8+ years of QA oversight on large federal construction projects. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with web‑based PMIS tools (e.g., Procore, Kahua). • Must be a U.S. citizen, have a valid driver’s license, and pass federal background checks. • Desired: experience with CPM schedule review, remote‑site projects, recent CQM or OSHA 30‑hour training.
