About the Role

Key duties include mentoring junior staff, managing project budgets, and coordinating daily client interactions. The manager will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prepare proposals and reports, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Regular site visits and oversight of field crews are essential to maintain quality and progress. • Mentor junior staff and support team development • Attend project meetings and resolve technical and administrative issues • Interface daily with clients and maintain a client database • Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, invoices, and assist with collections • Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and coordinate weekly with supervisor • Oversee multiple environmental projects while providing technical support • Prepare proposals, change orders, and environmental reports with analysis • Review staff deliverables before senior review • Host or attend client discussions and follow up on reports • Direct project setup and assign appropriately trained staff • Ensure proper sample collection, preservation, and lab submission per regulations • Apply knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations to projects • Review daily field reports and conduct site visits for quality assurance • Communicate project milestones and changes to clients • Coordinate field work with drill and test pit crews and manage rig access • Perform media sampling and ensure site restoration before demobilization • Develop site work plans covering sampling locations, equipment, safety, and logistics • Assist with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance • Manage underground storage tank assessments, ensuring licensed personnel and safety protocols • Support assistant and staff project managers/consultants in development and oversee technicians

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related science, with at least two years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license is preferred.
