What You Bring
Kimley‑Horn’s Reston, Virginia office is looking for a Civil Engineer with at least six years of experience to join its Transportation Engineering team. This position is based on‑site and is not remote. Candidates must have six or more years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, design, or operations, and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or be able to obtain one within twelve months. Desired technical skills include proficiency with Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, and HCS. Strong teamwork, multi‑project prioritization, communication, staff mentoring, high‑quality deliverables, and business‑development abilities such as proposal writing and budgeting are also required. • Hold a PE license (or obtain within 12 months) with 6+ years transportation engineering experience. • Proficient in Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, and HCS.
