About the Role
The Electrical Superintendent oversees all electrical construction activities, ensuring that wiring, fixtures, motors, equipment, and control systems are installed, tested, and repaired in line with project specifications and industry standards. Work must adhere to the National Electrical Code and any required jurisdictional licenses. The role involves coordinating foremen and leadmen, motivating them to complete tasks safely, correctly, and efficiently, while maintaining positive relationships with clients and superintendents. The superintendent participates in safety, quality, production, and planning meetings, evaluates crew performance, promotes continuous improvement, and ensures accurate reporting of time, quantity, and productivity. • Supervise planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of wiring, fixtures, motors, equipment, and control systems per plans, specifications, codes, and standards. • Coordinate and motivate foremen and leadmen to complete work safely, correctly, and efficiently. • Maintain positive client and superintendent relationships and ensure a safe, clean work environment. • Participate in safety, quality, production, and planning meetings; evaluate foreman and crew performance. • Promote continuous improvement culture and ensure accurate timesheets, quantity, and productivity reports. • Manage 1‑week and 6‑week schedules, align with master schedule, and develop work packages and task plans. • Enforce company policies, “The Sundt Way,” and provide coaching and mentoring to crew members. • Adhere to safety‑sensitive standards affecting operation of equipment, vehicles, and hazardous materials.

What You Bring
A minimum of five years (Level I) to six years (Level II) of relevant construction electrical experience is required, along with deep trade knowledge, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to set high standards for leadership, safety, quality, and productivity. The position demands up to 12‑hour shifts involving hard physical work in varying temperatures, climbing, lifting objects up to 50 lb, and frequent use of personal protective equipment. It is classified as safety‑sensitive due to responsibilities that can affect the safety and health of the employee and others. • Require minimum five (Level I) to six (Level II) years of construction electrical experience, NEC knowledge, and relevant licenses. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and lead by example in safety, quality, and productivity. • Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in varied temperatures; wear required PPE.
