About the Role
• Line manage junior consultants and support their professional development. • Develop business cases for new service areas to expand client, sector, and technology coverage. • Lead project management including client liaison, team resource allocation, and budget oversight. • Assist social landlords and public sector bodies throughout the net‑zero strategy and investment programme lifecycle, from awareness to completion. • Analyze housing asset data to benchmark energy performance and create investment scenarios aligned with net‑zero targets. • Support social landlords in measuring environmental performance and establishing ESG strategies and reporting frameworks. • Deliver industry assistance programmes such as the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator, building provider capacity for retrofit delivery. • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to bid preparation. • Development and delivery of guidance or tools for housing retrofit projects.

What You Bring
Our specialist Sustainability and Net Zero team is expanding to meet the rising demand from social housing providers and public sector organisations. We are seeking individuals with proven experience supporting sustainability programmes to aid investment planning and delivery on the net‑zero carbon agenda. • Degree or equivalent experience in sustainability/environment with a focus on housing or the built environment. • Systematic project‑management approach with extensive experience handling complex, multi‑stakeholder projects. • Proven ability to interpret data to drive decarbonisation and asset planning. • Strong expertise in net‑zero and ESG policy and strategy for the social housing sector. • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Strong problem‑solving and relationship‑management abilities. • Experience with social landlords or public sector asset management, finance, or retrofit coordination. • Construction or manufacturing sector background, including contract management. • New‑build housing development experience. • Knowledge of sustainable procurement and supply‑chain sustainability assessment. • PAS2035 or Retrofit Coordinator training. • Experience growing and managing effective teams. • Business development skills, including prospecting, bid writing, and bid management. • Ability to benchmark energy and carbon performance and conduct whole‑life carbon assessments. • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GHG Protocol, CDP, and TCFD. • Capability to identify technical solutions for different housing archetypes, including fabric measures, low‑carbon heating, and renewable energy.
