About the Role
In this role you will support design efforts across a wide range of projects, collaborating with senior consultants to perform calculations, develop layouts, and produce CAD/BIM drawings. You will create trade‑specific system designs, coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines, and advance from basic assignments to complex projects under senior guidance. Additional duties include representing the firm with clients and consultants, developing specifications and system narratives, establishing design parameters, overseeing QA/QC, assisting with project scheduling and budgeting, conducting construction administration and field inspections, processing RFIs and change orders, managing CAD/BIM staff, writing proposals, and attending continuing‑education seminars. • Design trade‑specific ICT systems using CAD/BIM. • Perform engineering calculations with appropriate software. • Coordinate system layouts with architectural and engineering teams. • Conduct QA/QC reviews for own and team work. • Assist senior staff with project scheduling, staffing, and budgeting. • Execute construction administration, field inspections, and detailed reports. • Process RFIs, change orders, bulletins, and addenda. • Manage CAD/BIM and other technical staff as needed. • Write engineering proposals under senior guidance. • Attend technical and professional development seminars.

The Information and Communication Technology Group in New York is hiring a Technology Systems Consultant with design experience in telecom, IT, audiovisual, or security to work on diverse projects such as critical facilities, corporate interiors, sports venues, healthcare, airports, and educational institutions. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field (or equivalent experience) and 7–10 years of design experience in audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security across sectors such as data centers, healthcare, aviation, sports, corporate, and education. Candidates must be proficient in written and verbal communication, have knowledge of active network and structured cabling design, understand Wi‑Fi and telephony concepts, be skilled in AutoCAD (Revit preferred), and possess relevant certifications (e.g., P.E., RCDD, CCNA). • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). • 7–10 years of audiovisual, telecom, IT, or security design experience across multiple market sectors. • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational abilities. • Knowledge of active network systems, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi and telephony design. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/ Revit 360 preferred. • Relevant certifications (e.g., P.E., RCDD, CCNA, PMP) a plus.
