About the Role

The Aviation Construction Manager role, based in Dallas, TX, is responsible for overseeing all construction phase services for aviation and airfield projects. The position ensures that work complies with project and construction documents, aligns with DFW goals, and is completed on schedule and within budget. • Oversee construction contractors to ensure timely completion per project documents. • Coordinate inspections and testing with DFW‑DCC, tenants, owners, and stakeholders. • Conduct design reviews focusing on constructability, staging, phasing, and methods. • Validate baseline schedules for accuracy and contract compliance. • Track contractor resources against baseline and three‑week look‑ahead schedules. • Collaborate with DFW Planning and Operations to align work with airport objectives. • Review and approve contractor progress payments. • Proactively resolve issues and manage claims to minimize client exposure. • Utilize DFW‑approved software (Unifier, BIM, Primavera P6, SharePoint) for project management. • Supervise correction of non‑conforming work and ensure quality standards. • Recommend settlements for change orders, claims, and schedule or budget revisions. • Evaluate scope modifications and advise senior management on contractor scope changes. • Manage projects to stay within budget and schedule constraints.

What You Bring

• Minimum: BA/BS and 6 years relevant experience; valid Class C driver’s license. • Preferred: Bachelor’s in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management, 10 years aviation construction experience, CCM certification, SIDA‑cleared badge, strong communication skills.
