About the Role

Key responsibilities include conducting environmental assessments for land use planning, pipeline routing, and renewable‑energy projects, developing permit matrices and applications, and performing field surveys. You will prepare technical reports, NEPA assessments, habitat and wetland delineations, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and compliance management plans for agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and state regulators. The role also involves supporting project delivery within quality, budget, and schedule expectations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. • Support environmental permitting and compliance for major land development and infrastructure projects. • Conduct field surveys, collect and analyze data, and produce technical reports and permit applications. • Perform environmental assessments, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and Phase I ESAs. • Assist in preparing compliance management plans and permitting documentation for federal, state, and local agencies. • Provide technical assistance on NEPA assessments, environmental impact statements, and due‑diligence services. • Utilize GIS, GPS, and map interpretation tools to ensure accurate field work. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose environmental solutions.

What You Bring

Capital development projects increasingly rely on thoughtful environmental planning, regulatory insight, and strong technical execution. In this role you will help clients navigate permitting and compliance requirements while balancing environmental stewardship with project delivery, directly influencing how infrastructure and energy projects move forward responsibly. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, curious, and eager to learn, comfortable with both field and office work, and motivated to build a career in environmental consulting. Required qualifications include a BS in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), 0–1 years of relevant experience, and strong safety awareness for outdoor work. Proficiency in GPS, map interpretation, technical report writing, data analysis, Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license are also essential. Preferred candidates have education or experience in the energy sector and may have specialized knowledge in wetlands, protected‑species management, or land‑development permitting. Experience with GIS software, environmental policy analysis, and regulatory research is a plus. • Demonstrate strong report writing, data analysis, and Microsoft Office proficiency. • Hold a BS in Environmental Science or related field (or equivalent) with 0–1 years of experience. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to client sites.
