About the Role

The Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) is a full‑time, on‑site position in Temple, Texas. The role involves performing field maintenance on solar equipment while learning and applying industry‑standard safe work practices. Safety is the top priority; technicians must follow all safety procedures and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks. Under supervision, they operate and care for company tools, service solar equipment at multiple plants, conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance, and replace or repair parts as needed. Technicians respond to on‑call emergency repairs, document work performed, and prepare required reports. They also assess processes, suggest improvements, and collaborate with EPC management on new technologies. • Follow all safety procedures and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks • Operate and maintain company equipment and tooling • Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision • Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance using monitoring programs • Replace or repair solar parts and equipment as directed • Respond to on‑call emergency equipment repairs • Document work performed and prepare required reports • Assess processes, suggest improvements, and coordinate with EPC management • Perform effective Lock Out/Tag Out on energized parts • Obtain and maintain NFPA 70e safety certification

What You Bring

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with mechanical/electrical experience and basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and solar systems. Required certifications include NFPA 70e safety training; a valid driver’s license and ability to work remotely in extreme weather or on‑call situations are essential. • Hold a High School Diploma or GED; vocational training a plus • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical experience with basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge • Basic understanding of solar installations and testing equipment • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record • Ability to work in remote locations and extreme weather conditions, including on‑call weekends or after‑hours • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills • Physical ability to lift 50 lb+, stoop, bend, climb, and work in high or difficult‑to‑access places
