About the Role
• Serve as Authorised Person (Electrical) for designated facilities, managing electrical isolation, switching, and permit‑to‑work procedures. • Perform switching operations on complex low‑voltage systems following safety regulations. • Issue electrical permits and supervise work carried out by competent persons. • Install, maintain, and repair LV switchgear, distribution boards, and protection systems. • Conduct electrical testing and inspections, including PAT, fixed‑wire, and emergency lighting tests. • Maintain electrical plant rooms, substations, and distribution networks across commercial properties. • Respond to electrical emergencies and power outages with safe restoration procedures. • Liaise with Distribution Network Operators and utility companies on supply issues and planned maintenance. • Ensure compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and CDM regulations. • Keep detailed electrical records, test certificates, and statutory documentation. • Mentor junior electrical staff and supervise contractors. • Support energy monitoring initiatives and power‑quality assessments. • Participate in preventive maintenance programs and emergency response procedures.

Electrician (Authorised Person) • JLL is seeking a qualified Electrician with Authorised Person (AP) status to join our facilities management team. This role requires an experienced electrical professional who can take responsibility for complex low voltage electrical systems, switching operations, and ensuring electrical safety compliance across our commercial property portfolio. • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent. • Authorised Person (Electrical) certification with proven switching‑operation experience. • LV Switching qualification (up to 100 V) and relevant safety training. • Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical maintenance experience. • Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification. • Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and permit‑to‑work systems. • Experience with complex LV electrical systems and switchgear. • Proficiency with insulation testers, earth loop impedance testers, and thermal imaging cameras. • Knowledge of building management and electrical monitoring equipment. • Understanding of power‑quality analysis and harmonic measurement. • Familiarity with electrical CAD systems and asset‑management databases. • Experience with emergency generator systems and UPS equipment. • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and life‑safety systems.
